Worcester Business Journal

Technology firm Xceedance has opened its new global headquarters at 1 Mercantile St. in Worcester, the former Unum building.

Xceedance, which has offices in London, Poland, Liechtenstein, and Australia, provides operations support, technology and data services to insurance organizations, according to its Tuesday press release announcing the Worcester headquarters. The company’s previous global headquarters was in Boston.

The new Worcester office will house Xceedance’s print and call centers. About 70 employees will work out of the office, including the company’s North American executive team. The company has agreed to occupy one floor of the building but hopes to expand to use more of the building as it wants to bring in more than 100 new jobs in the future.

“Worcester is a vibrant city in the heart of Massachusetts, and our centrally located office in the downtown area provides easy access to public transportation, municipal services, restaurants, and events,” Manish Khetan, Xceedance’s executive vice president and chief operating officer for North America, said in a press release. “This office serves as the hub for our North America-based team members who work in 32 U.S. states and Canada. The meeting and training facilities also address account management needs, as Xceedance rapidly broadens its client community of re/insurers, MGAs, brokers, and agents.”

In the same Tuesday announcement, Xceedance said it is opening an office in Bengaluru, India to support international growth.
