Worcester commercial real estate brokerage Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates hired as a new executive vice president Dan Cordeau, the former director of leasing from the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance.

Cordeau oversaw more than 7 million square feet of leases for the various government agencies while working with DCAMM, according to a Thursday press release from Kelleher & Sadowsky.

At Kelleher, he is expected to grow the firm’s life sciences business and provide office leasing services to public and private companies throughout Massachusetts.

Prior to working for the State, Cordeau spent nine years with California-based Alexandria Real Estate Equities where, in his last three years with the company, he leased approximately 5 million square feet of scientific laboratory space throughout Eastern and Central Massachusetts.

Before Alexandria, Cordeau was senior vice president of leasing at JLL in Boston, where he was co-director of the JLL national life sciences practice.

“Dan brings invaluable experience to our team,” Kelleher & Sadowsky Principal William Kelleher, said in the press release. “My partner Jim Umphrey and I have known Dan for over two decades, collaborating with him most notably at the Biotech Park, as well as lease deals involving UMass Memorial Health.”
