2026 Power 100: Jim Umphrey and Will Kelleher IV

Worcester Business Journal
June 2026

Few firms have had a greater hand in shaping Worcester’s commercial real estate market over the last four decades.

Umphrey and Kelleher have advised employers, developers, institutions, nonprofits, and investors on many of the region’s most significant transactions while helping build one of Greater Worcester’s premier brokerage firms.

Since 2025, they expanded operations into Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, completed the sale of 67 Millbrook St., and negotiated 85,000 square feet of lease renewals at Mercantile Center.

What unique skill sets you apart from others?

We have always been relationship-driven. Over many years in commercial real estate, we’ve learned that trust, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships matter far more than transactions.

What one habit should powerful leaders practice?

Dedicate part of every day to learning. Markets, industries, and communities are constantly evolving, and effective leaders remain curious.
